Huntingdon Valley, Ambler and Maple Glen Pennsylvania USA!
The Fort Washington Upper Dublin and
Huntingdon Valley area is primarily made up of two townships, Upper Dublin
and Lower Moreland. The area is rich with history, culture, and recreational
facilities. Located just northwest of Philadelphia, the benefits of a large
metropolitan neighbor (one of the largest cities in the USA) are integrated
with the open spaces of suburban living at its best.

Upper Dublin was part of a 1684 land
grant from William Penn, and the Manor of Moreland was the only one of
William Penn's manors not allocated to a family member but instead to Dr.
Nicolas More. George Washington's troops camped at Fort Washington on their way
to Valley Forge where they spent the dreadful winter of 1777. Legend has it
that Martha Washington stayed for a time in a home on what is now Huntingdon
Pike. Now a private home, the 1761 building was known for a time as the Lady
Washington Hotel.
There are an abundance of parks and
recreational facilities throughout both townships with state and county
parks such as Fort Washington State Park, Nockamixon State Park, Peace
Valley Park, and Valley Forge National Park only a short drive away. These
parks offer boating, fishing, camping, picnicking and many miles of nature
trails to hike or bike.
